One thing I should make pretty clear before I start writing this is that it’s rather important for me to retain my anonymity, as I’m actually employed in a company closely associated with casinos (can’t say what I’m working – could be CEO, could be janitor), and as such my employer could very much frown on the idea of me making my own casino-themed website when I’m supposed to be promoting something else. Not to mention, while I’m definitely intending to remain impartial and objective in my reviews, the revelation that I’m actually employed by a certain casino will inevitably make all of my mentions of this casino moot. If I say good things about it, people will decide that I’m biased; if I say bad things about it I’ll get fired. It’s a no win situation, so I’d prefer to stick to anonymity, at least for now.
What I can reveal is that I’m 24 years old (will be turning 25 in a few months, so if you’re reading this in the latter half of 2016 just assume that’s my age), I’m male and I’m not an only child. Casino gaming hasn’t really been my only interest – I’ve been playing videogames for a reeeally long time here, starting off with an Atari 2600 that my dad had bought back in the late 70s and making my way up, as my family wasn’t exactly able to afford the latest videogames and systems, so I had a few years of delay. Even though now I’ve got more than enough to afford buying a PlayStation 4 and all the games worth playing, I’ve made it a rule of thumb to only buy a system when the next one comes out, so a couple of years ago I finally became the proud owner of a PS3.
Oh, what’s this? You want to know more about my casino experience? Well, I can’t go into specifics, but suffice to say I’ve been gambling with friends since I was in middle school. I received roughly $2 for lunch every day, and I bet them against friends playing blackjack and poker. Sometimes I lost, but overall my wins were enough to more than make-up for it. I went hungry a few times, but still, totally worth it! My big brother actually had his bachelor party in Vegas right as I turned 18 (don’t assume that I’m American just because of that – anyone could have gone to Vegas!), because he’s the type of boring person who likes his coffee with no cream and two sugars. Suffice to say, my first real casino experience was a huge eye opener for me. One thing led to another, and only a few years later I found myself in the service of the casino that’s paying the bills to this day!
My favorite casino games are definitely blackjack and slots – I’m not a huge fan of roulette or baccarat, but I’ve read quite a few books about beating the odds at blackjack, and the only reason I don’t count cards is because I don’t want to get banned, heh. Aside from that, I also really enjoy writing and composing music, and in the future I plan to collaborate with an artist/coder and create a videogame with him. How much casino will be included in that game? Who knows!
